Holker Hall Show – 30th May – 1st June

Join Seasons Cakes at  the very best of gardening, countryside, food and crafts at the Holker Garden Festival. For a three day summer extravaganza in the grounds of Holker Hall in Cark-in-Cartmel, Cumbria from Friday 30th May to Sunday 1st June 2014.

There will be plenty of good old fashioned family fun on the agenda (don’t forget children under 16 go free!) with a glorious, 50ft traditional Victorian Helter Skelter set in the very centre of the Festival for all to enjoy. Live, action packed shows held regularly in the Festival arena including the daring, world famous Gerard Naprous & the Devil’s Horsemen Stunt Team, as well as Lamb National and sheepdog displays by Bob Hogg and terrier racing. Or, experience 19th century farm life as Old Hall Farm return with their 18hh Shire horses Ben & Troy, as well as traditional farming tools and machinery, steam driven engines and vintage tractors.

Foodies will find a veritable feast of delights to tempt their taste buds with a variety of Artisan and local produce available from delicious afternoon teas with fresh strawberries and cream to hearty hog roasts. Or why not step in to the Cartmel ‘pop-up’ Village and taste some of its well-known delicacies from businesses such as Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding, Cartmel Cheeses and Unsworth Brewery.

Ulverston Festival – 24th to 25th May

Join Seasons Cake at the Ulverston Food Festival which is taking place throughout the day and evening over the weekend of the 24th and 25th May; brought to you by Taste Cumbria and cnevents in association with Ulverston Town Council, South Lakeland District Council, Cumbria Tourism, Made In Cumbria, Cumbria Life and The North West Evening Mail.

Over the course of the weekend, Ulverston’s town centre will be transformed by over 60 stalls selling the best food and drink Cumbria has to offer. Our popular cookery demo stage from the Cockermouth food festival will be making an appearance, allowing renowned local chefs to run informal demonstrations and master classes throughout the event. A wide selection of family entertainment and activities is planned across the town; for the adults amongst us, local pubs and breweries are teaming up to showcase and celebrate local ales and beers.
